About Us
Petticord & Son, Inc. "A Leader in Painting & Decorating since 1928". Located in Wheeling, West Virginia we are a fully licensed and insured company serving the Northern Panhandle, Ohio and Pennsylvania areas.
We specialize in new and existing residential, commercial and industrial projects. We perform staining, epoxies, clear coats, special coatings, commercial & residential wallcovering (removal and installation), architectural coatings, steel coatings, high pressure water blasting and urethanes for interior and exterior projects.
Established in 1928 by George W. Petticord the company was known as Geo. W. Petticord & Son, a sole proprietorship. The company preformed residential and commercial painting, plaster and glazing needs.
In 2006, Scott Petticord, a West Liberty University Graduate, took over operations, expanding services and areas of operation. The company has grown into a strong residential, commercial and industrial, union painting company.

Safety
Petticord & Son is dedicated to the safety of our workers. We work together to provide a safe working environment. We hold safety meetings and inspections of protective equipment to help ensure the safety of our employees. Training is prevention. Employees are required to have a minimum of OSHA training. We are compliant with all OSHA laws and safety regulations. Our employees are covered with workers compensation, and we carry general liability insurance for your protection.
